Fatal error while loading repository

Hi Experts,

After upgrading ORACLE DBMS to version 10.2.02 the repositories are not loading. follow below the Log encountered on each repository:

Hi Experts,

The problem that we're facing was caused by the integration with PI. When the exchange infraestructure was connected to a file system on the MDM server, it changed the folder permissions. So we has to execute some additional configurations on PI to return the original permissions on MDM folder structure.

Hi Armando,

Restart the MDM as well as the DBMS and then load repository with update indices. This would solve the problem.

Hi,

If this is in DEV or TEST system then the Data should not be important in the Repository. In this case downgrade the DB version back to original and load the repository and delete all data. Then upgrade the DB and try loading the repository

There is a possibility that some records are locked in Workflows or some other tables which is causing issue in the upgraded DB version.

Try the above options only after taking proper backup.

Hi,

Have you tried Verify Repository -> Repair Option, Try to repair repository it may help you to get rid of those fatal errors.

If it repair your fatal error, then you can easily load your repository.

try removing the schemas in console in the schema table and reload the repository. It may work.

1. Stop both the servers

2. Start DBMS

3. Start MDS and load the repository with Update Indices
