AS Java on SAPNW 7.0 EHP1 SR1

Hello Experts,

I am now installing java server after finishing the abap server installation on win2008 server and DB2 9.5.4. We are using distributed system, with the following landscape:

1. CI Instance --> abap and java already done

2. DB instance --> abap already done, java is facing the problem.

I tried to re-install using sapinst, however the error come up either using 'run with new option' or using 'continue with the old option'. The error message is showed up shortly after click those 2 options:

Caught a known exception during service selection. Errortext: ESAPinstException: error text undefined

Hi Rudi,

As per the logs it looks like that file which installer want to use is used by another program. Have you checked this ?

Also, try to stop all the thing and then check whether any process is running or not. If not then start again.

If yes, kill that process.

Thanks for the feedback, i unlocked the process using lockhunter and re-installed from the beginning, and finally the system has succesfully been installed.
