We are running a 4.6B with no solution manager installed. Is there any possible way to do the early watch without Solution manager?

It used to be possible but SAP, in order to "reduce" (sic...) the TCO of its customers, impose now the use of SOLMAN...
The choices are now done by the vendor and no more by the customers.

Could you please let me know is there any transaction(s) available to assess the performance of the system!
Like any other abap systems, there are plenty of system performance related transactions.
A few of them : ST03, ST06, ST02, DB02, ST04, ST05, STAD, etc...

But you have to do your own part of the work or you will never learn anything.
Don't ask to be spoon fed.
Use the SAP standard menu, experiment and you will find all the needed transactions by yourself...

EWA is a solman tool.
