Display of negative numbers

Hi,

Is there a way by which I can display (in a Text View or an Input field in an ALV) negative numbers in a bracket instead of -ve sign as we do in Excel. e.g. -12 should be (12)

there are limited formatting options. you can only push the sign position to either right or left

Or you have to manage it by taking as Char field

taking it as char means a lot of conversions at all the places where Calculation is done..
