Here is a back to basics googly for SRM folks...
Say if the client can do all customizations if required on MM side for procurement....What is the things that SRM can do and MM cannot (not considering all possible customizations) that can be the reason why SRM should be implemented.
Multiple points for all threads for folks who input
HI
There are several reasion to go with SRm instead of MM
1 SRm is web base solution accese any where form internate no direct server acces nedded
2 Srm is user frindaly will guide to use for next steps of opratiuon.
3 srm have workflows which used most of approval process without customisation .

Thanks. Answers are helpful, but all this can be done with customizations and managed in MM in 1 way or the other. I know if something is available as a package it sounds good. But its a million dollars...So again, what is that thing that MM cant do at all without tweaks that SRM can do

Not to forget the supplier collaboration piece Suppliers can log in & respond to RFx, Auctions, create Purchase order responses, confirmations etc. you reduce the cycle time & workload.
