Hello,

I try to have a look at an already existing form.

I use TCode SFP and select the form but when I try to go to the layout, I get the following error message:

Could not start Layout Designer (see long text)

Message no. FPUIFB086

Diagnosis

The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation.

Procedure

Make sure that you have the forms design tool installed on your desktop (the tool is part of the SAPGUI installation).

Also read SAP Note 801524.

I read the SAP Note, but I find nothing useful in it.

I use SAPGUI 7.10, I installed the Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.2 on my computerand I use Adobe Reader 8.1.

What else have I got to do in order to see the layout of the form?

Solved.

It seems, like Adobe LiveCycle Designer is the wrong tool.

I installed Designer 7.1. Now it works.

Marc,

Adobe Live Designer is the correct tool. When u mean Designer 7,1 it is in fact the same.

And also you should be careful which version you want to install as it completely depends on your landscape.

ALD 8.1 is only needed if you have EHP1 or on very high release of NW 7.0. Need to check what are its exact SP level.

Lastly to best of knowledge the latest version for ALD is 8.1 and not 8.2 as you mentioned.
