Universe reporting limited data set

Former Member

Using BOXI 3.1, Universe Designer.

Crystal Reports 2008.

Simple, single table universe on an Oracle 10g database. Table contains 982,154 rows.

No formulas, no joins, no queries - just a straight objects/measures creation to display data from tables.

Crystal Report build on the Universe returns 1,051 rows. Appears to be taking the first 1,000 records from the database.

Why? Is there a limit to the Universe? Some default setting we are missing? (We have already tested the Partial Results value on the Query panel when importing the Universe)

Hi,

Open your Universe in Designer and go to File > Parameters and check your settings on the Controls tab, unchecking the limits if necessary to obtain full results.

This was helpful and we certainly need this.

However, interesting results as we tested yesterday afternoon. Prior to trying this.

Refresh the data to the report, and number of rows would remain unchanged. Let the report set a few minutes (got called away on another issue), refresh the data and more rows would display. Happened a couple of times, then eventually, all the data displayed.

The above and the suggested solution worked on smaller data set (<100,000 rows). However, still nothing on larger data set. Seeking other issues this morning. Appreciate the solution.

Now functioning with the larger data set. Appreciate the solution.
