How to move only one ESS DC change of two in same SC to Prod system

Havent been able to find a quick answer in help docs, so thought I'd post a quick question here.

Scenario:

One developer has made changes to 2 separate ESS DCs in same SC (created 2 activities for each). He has activated both of them and they have been moved thru CMS and imported into the Test environment and hence deployed onto the Test runtime system. ONE of the DCs that has been changed needs to be moved to PRD, but not the other. How do you move the SC to PRD that contains the changed DC and not include the changes that were made to the other DC?

I would assume this needs to be taken care of prior to assembly or in the Consolidation phase, however, how do we get the desired components to Test system if we don't have a consolidation runtime system?

Do we have to have a Consolidation runtime system in order to do this?

Visual Rep:

ESS DC #1 -- activity created and changes made

ESS DC #2 -- activity created and changes made

activate both and move changes up to Test runtime system

Now want to move only ESS DC change #1 to PRD, but NOT #2.

How do you do this? Thanks!!

HI

MAy be you can do this way as a work around..

create project for the DC which you donot want to move to Production.

go to CBS web UI under the compartments link, look for the DCa nd clicl on view all acitiviies link,

get the integration time of the first activity,

switch to DTR perspective, right click on DC sync>Advanced Sync-> sync to date

give the date there and click ok.

now the dc which you donot want to move to prod will be set to initiila state. move the activity through all the runtime systems till production.

first test the DC in NWDS after you sync whether it has been restored.

Hi,

I'd be really interested about hearing something related to that too.

Does anyone has any SAP document about that?
