Hi Dallyanusha,

1. what is the different between sales forecast and statistical forecast??

Sales forecast is the confirmed forecast driven by sales team. This is the

Statistical forecast is derived from system based on historical data like

sales history, stock value, etc.,

Statistical forecast gives guidelines to marketing for future forecasting.

Statistical forecast also can be used to plan future manufacturing.

Hi,

Adding some points to the above reply.

Sales Forecast is value generated by the sales team to make it a consensus forecast to be generated by demand planner.

Statistical forecasting is the value being generated by the observation of the past sales history and then using a proper or appropriate forecasting method to generate it.

Macros can be generated using /sapapo/advm and in that u can use the mathematical calculation techniques to generate forecast with demand planner adjustments.please refer this site for macro building.

Hope this will help u

Thanks
