Inspection Set Up is not Coming

Dear Friends

For few materials with material type ERSA, The QM tab page is coming in MM02 but " Inspection setup" is not coming where I can maintain inspection type and activate quality inspection for the material.

Please let me know how to get inspection setup in QM tab page in MM02.

Dear Chandra,

I think problem may be coming feild hiding in Materia Master.if we maintain hiding option in OMSR or OMS9, it will not appear, we can hide total transaction level as well as material type level

kindly go throgh the above transactions

But this problem is coming to a few materials with same material type for a specifc firm. For the same material but with a different plant, inspeton set up is also coming in QM , mm02

Thus pls tell me how to get inspection set up in qm, mm02 for those materials?

We have many materalswith matrial type ERSA. But inspection setup is coming in most of them in QM tab page in mm02. But this problem is coming to a few materials with same material type ( ERSA) for a specifc plant rilh. For the same material but with a different plant, inspeton set up is also coming in QM , mm02.

material, 32000353 is a material with material type ERSA. the quality view is duly maintained for the same.

Eg:- for material/ plant /stoprage location, 32000353/ RILH/GSTH, Inspection set up is not coming

material/ plant /stoprage location, 32000353/ RILL/GSTL, Inspection set up is coming.

Pls let me know what all I can check in OMSR & OMS9? I am bit confused

Thus pls tell me how to get inspection set up in qm, mm02 for those materials?

Hi Chandra,

I hope u have maintianed the quality view for the respective materila type in configuration. No select your material and plant in MM01 t code and then press enter then clicl on select view select quality management view and then enter your plant and press enter then see waht messege the sytem is giving .

According to your information, the QM-view is maintainable for that specific plant, so that should be OK. Try using transaction QA08 to maintain the inspection setup.

It sounds strange. You could look into trx OMSA to check whether the QM-view is activated for that particular plant.

Dear Friends

I dont know why I could not understand right and left in OMSR & OMS9 in production server.

But for material type ERSA, quality view is duly maintained and its also coming in MM02. Inspection set up in MM02 , QM tab page is coming for plant RILL. But not coming for plant RILH. System is also not giving any message.

Its a stange problem...

Pls give me a solution

Did you check OMSA, according to my earlier mail, to see if the QM view is maintainable for plant RILH? Tha maintanance status field must contain a Q (e.g. KDEVALBPQSZXCFG).

You can try it in other way, like try to maintain the Inspection set up via QA08.

Dear Chandra

Please make sure that QM view is maintained for these materials. PLease check by going to MM01 and maintain the view there first and then try mm02
