Dear Experts,

I am now installing BI using sapnw ehp1. The db instance and abap server are installed succesfully and now installing SCS ( java server). The installation is stuck with the following error:

Hi all,

I do have similar issue (below) while installing SAP trial version on a laptop . I verified SAPServiceNSP and nspadm are included in Admin role, tried installing several times, it errors at same step ("start central services instance").

I can manually start the service manually from SAPMMC (its status results to green).

Any thoughts for me to do more troubleshooting.

We had excatly the same problem but we are running on Windows Server 2008. Problem was that the windows firewall was enabled. SAPinst log said:

Test call to Service failed: 80080005

CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE: Server execution failed

Service not correctly installed.

So one suggestion is to disable the windows Firewall and also restart SAPinst Worked well for us.

Its unable to create the service SAPSID_01,cross check the password of SAPServiceSID and retry the installation

Hi Uday,

I am really sure that this is not related to password issue, since we used the same standard password for all users in order to avoid password related problem .

The installation is on the DB server.

Please advise.
