Not able to extract SAP system Kernel files while Installation

Hi,

We are installing XI3.0 SR1 on HP-UX /IA64 unikode machine . We have done successfully CI installation. But while installing DB at the stage of Extract SAP kerkel phase iam getting below error . I have given all the permission and tried with changed ownerships even not luck.

<b>Error :</b>

/tmp/sapinst_exe.4545.1146867174/SAPCAR -xvgf /oracle/XIUNIKER/DVDKER/K07/UNIX/HPIA64/SAPEXE.SAR, -R /sapmnt/DXI/exe returned with '28'. CAUSE: See output './SAPEXE.SAR.log'. SOLUTION: Solve the CAUSE and extract the archive manually. Change permission of extracted files to '(dxiadm,USER,=rwxo) (sapsys,GROUP,=rxg) (Everyone,GROUP,=rx)'. Afterwards, skip current step and restart the installation.

stop the installation remove libsapu16.so from /sapmnt/DXI/exe

restart the installation

Hi kaushal,

My problem has been solved . I have renamed busy files , it is keep asking many files busy so that i reanmed all busy files.

kaushal - I have give some points to you , at least i got some clue.

Hi kaushal,

I deleted and tried but no luck. After that i extracted manually SAPEXE.SAR file from Kernel dump into /TEST directory and copied into /sapmnt/DXI/exe even no use.

Please suggest.This is very urgent for us to solve.
