Error: MS Excel is not supported on x64 platform.

Hi Experts,

I am using MDM7.1 version 7.1.01.46.

I am trying to import master data to MDM through MDM Import server by Excel file.

I created remote system & port. Assign import map to Inbound port.

I completed required config in Console & import server running.

I kept excel file in Ready folder of inbound port.

in reports for MDM Repository its showing error : Error: MS Excel is not supported on x64 platform.

If you have solution plz suggest me.

Hi Audi,

MDM doesn't support excel format to import files thru MDIS. To import excel format files you have to use import manager. For more information on this please refer to the console reference guide under MDIS adminstration -> File formats compatible with MDIS.

Hi Audi,

SAP MDM 7.1 doesnt support MS Excel for automatic import using MDIS.

It supports text (delimited or fixed width) and XML source files.

In order to mport data from Access or Excel source files, you must use Import Manager instead of MDIS, or else convert the files to XML or text (delimited or fixed width) formats.
