Paging on Windows 2008 - still there

Windows 2008 SP2

32 GB RAM

Oracle 10.2.0.4

Despite using Windows 2008 and the alleged improved memory algorithm I still see a lot of paging going on:

According to task manager and resource manager the system has more than 10 GB physical memory left.

I fiddled with different settings of "optimize for background processing" and "optimize for best performance" but I didn't see any difference.

Even if the system has no load at all I see paging going on as soon as the SAP system is started.

Did someone else see that behavior?

Markus
