I would like to know if Batch Status Management active is a prerequisite to Batch Determination work and work well ?
Best Regards.
Kleyson Rios.
Hi,
'Batch status management' is not a prerequsitie for batch determination.
You can use the batch status characteristic (LOBM_ZUSTD) as a basis for your determination rule. However, your rules may not hinge on the overall batch status.
For example, if you are using QM (or simply posting stock into and out of QI, blocked), the availability check for unrestricted stock will filter out batches that do not have unrestricted stock available. [You need to really test the ATP rules config - as what SAP delivers in not always matching the business requirements.]

It's necessary. See e.g. http://www.sap-img.com/materials/config-setting-in-batch-management.htm
