Delivery qty more then STO qty

Hi All

SAP system is allowing me to create delivery more then order qty in STO

but in Sales order it is thronging error " 0020000355 000010 Delivery quantity is greater than target quantity 5 EA"

then why in STO delivery it is allowing me to create more then STO qty,

Dear Sudha,

there may be various reasons for this, When you create delivery from STO, the different programs , different copy controls and different check occurs. So on that basis system will allow or disallow the creation of delivery.

Similarly in sales order there may be check in the copy control routine about the target quantity and ordered quantity.

Dear Sudha,

You can restrict it based on the item category of delivery. Go to 0VLP (zero VLP), select delivery item category and then in Check overdelivery here select B.

Hi

With delivery item categoy settings T code 0Vlp you cannot control over delivery for STOs

It will work for only sales orders and not STO as STO is a purchase order

You will have to use user exit or BADI to control the over delivery in STOs You can use User Exit - LV50PFZA for STO Delivery Quantity Control ,ensure that while coding check logic has to be put in required Transaction Codes only otherwise this User Exit is called in all Delivery and Billing Transactions causing delay in execution..

Consult your MM people whether they can fix the issue with some delivery tolerances

The customising settings you refer to is only relevant for deliveries

created with reference to sales orders. As described in Note 548914,

in Release 4.6C there is no check against the PO quantity during goods

issue or goods receipt. However, the Note does provide a modification

which you may like to consider. You can also see the F1 help in Ovlp.

Note 415716 may be helpful for you.
