Customer and Business Partner Integration CVI_CUSTOM_MAPPER

BAdI CVI_CUSTOM_MAPPER is to mapping date from Customer<->Business Partner.

However, I am not clear about one method here:

IF_EX_CVI_CUSTOM_MAPPER~MAP_CUSTOMER_TO_BP

What I want is, when I do certain change to the Customer, the Business Partner Grouping for the Business Partner wil be changed.

However, it did not work for me, can anyone tell me how I can realize this function?

( I did not see any function that can update BP Grouping, and the BAdI is also not working for it.)

Hi Sara,

This feature is not supported. There is NO WAY to change the grouping of the BP once it has been created. You can only control which grouping must be assigned to the BP during CREATION, but not during change.

Reason : grouping of the BP is used to generate a number for the BP. Once a BP has been created and a number assigned, you cannot change the BP number. Hence, you cannot chnage the grouping too, since it would result in an inconsistency.

Thus, the methods of CVI_CUSTOM_MAPPER cannot change BP grouping for an existing BP.
