MIC in master recipe

Dear all,

I am wondering in a process manufacturing environment in which the master recipe can consists of one or more operation, and these operation, in turn, can consists of one or more phases.

SAP allows one or more MIC to assign to the operation level, and the phases level.

Thus my questions:

1 u2013 Why SAP allows MIC in both operation and phases level?

2 u2013 Is it possible that the MIC used in the operation and its phases be similar?
