Hi,

what is the time series structure in LIve Cache???

If you recall, we have pre requisites for a planning area, important from them are POS and Storage bucket profie.

POS has the CVC and storage bucet has the structure to save the data, both of these will be merged with keyfigure in plannig area. Once the time seris is created for a planning area, a physical space is allocated in live cache for

Each CVC to Each keyfigure as per the storage bucket periodicity...., for the time seris horizon.

till you wont create a timseris there will no link to livecache for a planning area. as the time seris is created you are able to copy the data to plannign area.

Hope this will helps you

Hi Dallyanusha,

In Livecache orders, the structure of the data is stored with reference to orders.

ie Livecache -

-

Order1

Livecache -

-

Order2

It can happen that order1 has come before order2 also and without any time

factor, the orders are getting saved in livecache.

This storage method is suitable for operative planning, such as in a classical SNP setup.

There are a number of standard key figures that are saved to liveCache orders which you can include in an SNP planning area by choosing Edit ® SNP standard.

The prerequisites for saving a key figure to liveCache orders are that:

1) You have created time series objects for the planning area (even though you are saving to orders

2) When creating the planning area, you either specified a Category or Category Groupor entered a Key figure semanticprefixed with LC.

3) When creating the planning area, you made no entry for the key figure in the InfoCube field.

Hi Dallyanusha,

For Demand planning, the data is storied as time series in livecache.

In DP, we usually store data in key figures under various characteristics.

The value of key figure changes with respect to time.

For every bucket value of key figure, the values will be stored as time

series in livecache.

The time series could be stock data, forecast data, sales data, etc.,
