Excel field with 002 or 0000XXXX

Hi,

Can any one help me on how do i pass the value 0001234 from SAP to Excel. as of now when i enter 00001234 excel is changing the value to 1234 so i want to retain zeros.

have you probed defining text cells in excel.

Hi venkat,

1. if your field is character field

and it contains data in this format

'00001234

(see the single quote on the leftmost)

then in excel also it will retain the zeros.

(bcos it will consider this as a text data )

when i give the single quote on the excel sheet it shows up as single quote... i dont know why.

Change the column type in Excel Sheet to type special

characters this will solve the problem

For this use format cells option in Excel

In Excel sheet Change the type of number to Special Number not Special Char
