GRC 5.3 SP8 RAR

Hello,

In the Risk Analysis and Remediation component, Is there a way to export the Risk long description in version 5.3? We are on service pack 8.

Hello Tammi,

If you are using the Front End component of RAR then you should be able to export the information related to risk by going to Rule Architect -> Utilities -> Export Rules. Here select the system for which you wish to export the rules for and put its name in destination column. Then select the components that you wish to export (risk), then click on Get Rules. Once you do that it will give a link Export rules. Clicking the same will export the rules in a .txt file. When you open the file you should be searching for the risk id in that file. Continue to search for that risk id in the file till you encounter table name VIRSA_CC_DETDESC. Here you should find the detailed description of that risk..

I discovered that yesterday and it works. Thanks for your promt an helpful reply.

The format of the text file is not good. It took a while to figure how to clean it up to make it usaable. It would be helpful to download a delimited or fixed length text file.
