Extend a customer in a different sales area

Dear Gurus,

How can I extend/ copy 1 customer from 1 sales area into another?

Hi

In t code XD01 give the customer number and give the new company code and give the new sales area which you want to extend and in the reference column give the customer number and company code and the sales area in which the customer already lies and press enter

If you are extending it only for another sales area in a same company code then do it in VD01

When you press enter you will get the message that customer already created and extended to such and such sales area

If you do this in XD01 company code and sales area details can be changed according to the new company code and new sales area with general data being the same

If you do this in VD01 only sales area details can be changed according to the new sales area with general data and company code data being the same

use transaction XD01.

Enter the customer number which you need to extend. Enter the company code, click on the button all sales area button. the system lists all the sales area present in the company code select the new sales area to which you need to extend the customer master. If the sales area which you need is not present in the list you need to set up the new sales area using T-Code OVXG else use the below path in customization.

Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Set up sales area

Hi its easy and standard method

GO to XD01/VD01, Enter the account group,cc, dont enter cutomer number if external, enter sales area,

now Enter Customer number and cc, sales area in reference and press enter, fill the related data and save.

Hi even no need to enter Reference data

Just go to VD01 - Enter the account group and customer you want extend, enter the new sales area and press enter and save
