Install chat in ICWebClient

Hi all

We're looking at whether to implement chat functionality in our web shop

However, we're struggling a bit what components are actually needed here

As far as I can decipher, we need:

For Windows client: Multichannel Interface; a separately licensed component?

For web client: Integrated Communication Interface/BCB (are these in fact the same component)? Do we need a separated license for this?

Does that sum up the required components, or is more required?

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

The ICI/BCB is part of the SAP Netweaver, you dont need a separate license for it. The installation instructions are part of the IC WebClient installation Guide (where appropiate). Be aware that the ICI/BCB is just the interface (you can see it as the next generation of SAPphone interface). You do need an external Communication Management Software that manages the chat server and that is certified to use the ICI/BCB. SAP CRM e-commerce solution offers this intergration through its Live Web Collaboration component.

Hope this helps you.
