system copy abap+java

I am currently doing a unicode conversion on a BI 7 Abap + java. During the system copy phase i am experiencing issues with the java section of the abap+java system copy. The java instance was disabled at some point in time as it was no longer being used. When i select abap + java system copy , it fails, it only seems to try to export java and not abap. I can get round this by just doing an abap system copy as java is not used. please can you explain why this would be? and would you recommend uninstalling java rather than having a redundant instance not being used.

Hi Mark,

I am not sure about your statement when you try to export as abap+java then it only export Java. and when you try to export only abap then it works.

But any how if you are not using Java then i will say uninstall Java to avoid any problems. Uninstall procedure you can find in solution manager installation guide.
