Excise doc in document flow

Dear Gurus,

When I am creating the billing doc and sebsequently the excise invoice, in the billing doc. flow two accounting documents are showing - RV and EI.

Now when I cancel the excise in J1IIN, the same EI acct. doc. is still showing in the doc flow and there is no cancelled EI acct. doc.

Now when I create a new excise in J1IIN, a new EI acct. doc. is showing in the doc. flow and previous EI is also showing.

Is this the standard SAP functionality?

Also where can I see the cancelled EI doc....also in SD side how can I check that the EI doc. has been reversed.

You can check the transaction J1IIEXCP. It has two options (A) Excise Invoice cancelled but Invoice is still open , and (B) Invoice Cancelled but Excise Invoice not cancelled.
