EDMS is a must??

hi friends

Easy DMS is a must???

i am doing DMS for the first time and i am only doing sap-dms.

wht more advantages i will get with easy dms? is it a must? can all my requirements can be met with SAP-DMS???

if i want to use easy dms ? wht is that i have to do???

pls guide me

hi,

EDMS:IT works in Windows explore, after installtion. thisis acually interfacing with Acual SAP -DMS.

SAP DMS is a PLM component. it integrates all logistic components in SAP r/3.

DMS is useful in dealing with Engineering functionalities. same could be utilized in EDMS. currently lot of patch RD is going on this u will get latest EDMS.07, download it from Service market place and install it.

EDMS is documents are created in Folders. where as in DMS we direcly creates DIR. with TC codes.

EDMS u need log on and click folder creat documents. for this no SAP Knowledge is requires. windows exp is sufficient to opeerate EDMS.

Note: The DMS is mandatory to configure ur DMS functionalities. according to this EDMS is works. this is like 'plug in'.

hi,

easyDMS is an addon on SAP DMS. Its more user friendly. it supports most of the DMS functionalities but not all.

the additional things it supports which are not available in DMS is send file from outlook and synchronization.
