Dear Experts,

Want to know the use of the configuration setting which is under SPRO->Project Systems->Cost->Budget->Specify Exempt Cost Elements.

Hi,

Exempt cost elements are those which are not included during availability control.

Enter your depreciation of GL account in exempt cost element and there wouldn't be any budget availability control happening against any posting with the GL account.

perhaps defing the costelement as exempted is depend upon the business requirement.

We specify certain cost elements which are to be excluded in availability check on a project here. Examples could be settlement cost elements..
