We have installed Netweaver Enhancement Pack 1 in our BW system.
(Actually ERP Enhancement Pack 4, because we also have SEM and FIn -BASIS in our BW system and were told that we needed to do the one included with ERP, but supposed to be the same thing for NW).
In the SAP document "SAP Enhancement Packages for SAP Netweaver" from November 2008, on page 6, in the Impact of Installation section, it says that "Switches are practically not used for enhancement packages for SAP NetWeaver - with the exception of onve variant."
I'm trying to confirm what "variant" that is. Later, on page 10, it seems to say its is in SAP Netweaver Operations, and for Information Lifecycle Management. Is that it ?
For my BW system (which we are now actually testing with an embedded portal), it is only a variant related to data archviing (now ILM) that is a choice to activate or not via the switchframework ?
