MDM-Catalog-Data Load

Dear All,

We are on MDM Catalog 3.0. We have installed the MDM Server and the Import Manager, MDM Console and MDM Data Manager Clients. The standard Repository archive from market place is also uploaded.

How to upload the material master data into this Repository by a flat file or xml file?.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi,

1. Replicate Material Master from ERP to SRM

2. Transfer the replicated Material Master from SRM to Catalog. Program is BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG.

You need to configure XI.

or

1. Create custom program and export Material Master to CSV

2. Import the file by MDM Import Manager

XI is not required.

Thanks for the inputs. we need to test the MDM catalog very quickly by integrating this to SRM 7.0. We ahve configured the Portal and the basic settings for MDM Integration too.

We don't want to configure XI as of now. Other than file import, do we have an option to create the material in MDM-Catalog?. Pl suggest.

Hi,

You can use MDM Data Manager and create items manually.

This is 10 min quick solution.

Thanks for the inputs. We have created a material using data manager and this is visible from the shopping cart. But when we click transfer items, it gives an error "Enter Company code". Any hints to resolve this error?.

Hi,

It looks SRM side issue, not Catalog side.

Please double check the attributes in PPOMA_BBP.

Can you create a SC with free text item?

Hi,

Thanks for your inputs. We couldn't create a Free Text based SC too and the error is same i.e.." Enter Company Code".

What needs to be present in the attributes to create a SC based on free text?. We could create a SC based on the Master data that is pulled from the back-end (we are on ECS).

Pl suggest.

Dear Masa

Thanks for all the help. We have resolved the issue by creating a * product category in SPRO.

We could transfer the items from the catalog and also able to create a Free-Text SC.
