Profit Centre

Hi SAP Gurus..

While creating Sales Order user can able to input profit centre in SO - Account Assignment - Profit Centre -

---

which is mandatory function.

Jus would like to make it blank wthout mandatory input while we save the order.How do i go for tat..

Ur response would highly appreciate..

Dear Shrii,

First of all i would like to know, why you dont want profit center?? As you might be knowing profit center in sales order comes from Material master which has some impact on profitability analysis. When the Profit center wont be there in material master system will determine DUMMY profite center as per substitution rule.

Hi Raja..

User making changes in profit centre manually so initially i wann disable tat field..and i am making mass maintenance for all the material profit centre.so once its being disable i am gona make a mass maintenance for all the material.

So once user creates order system will pick profit centre from material master which could be readable way..

plz suggest me if i am wrong..

Dear Srii,

As i previously stated that Profit center will come from MM data or from substitution rule..... So if you dont have substitutuion rule then while changing it will give error. And if you only want profit center field only as display then the other experts opinion about using SHD0 is right. Refer this link for details

How to create screen variants SHD0 to disable profit centre in SO in details..

Guys plz help step by step..

1. Check the Transaction Variant with T Code SHD0.Here Profit Center could be maintained as Mandatory.

2. Secondly , check the Incompletion Procedure with Profit Center field as PRCTR .Also check the Incompletion Procedure assigned to Item Category.

Hi ,

Plaese remove this at incompletion log and make it as optional field.

Go to path SPROS&DBasic FunctionsLog of incomplete itemsDefine incompletion proceduresSelect group:sale itemsClick on procedures-Select the procedureClick on fields--then remove the check box for warning.

check in the incompletion log (ova2) if the feild is made mandatory ,if it is remove it.
