Hi,
depending on the sending medium a special text must be outputed.
It is not diffucult placing the text on the form. But how can I distinguish or determine whether the
current step is for print or fax ?

In print parameters you will have medium as one of the parameter .You can use that parameter for placing the text for it.

which print paramters do you mean. Which Function Module ???
Are you using SAPscript, Smartforms or adobe forms? This answer could be different depending on the technology.

I am using smart forms
The field DEVICE in structure CONTROL_PARAMETERS of the smartform interface will hold one of the values
PRINTER
SCREEN
TELEFAX
MAIL
