unable to create business objects in PI 7.1

Hi,

I am trying to create a Process component model in ESR for which i need to create Business Object.

But when I am trying to create new Business object under my namespaces its not allowing me to create as it is disabled with comment:

"Software component version does not support this object type"

Anyone have idea why I am facing the problem.

Hi,

This means that your SWCV is based on NW7.0 definition, change it by going SWCV edit mode and under "Use of Interface Objects" select Netweaver 7.1" instead of "Netweaver 7.0"

Did the above setting work for you? The SAP PI7.1 system that I am having is already maintaining the above setting but getting the same warning message that Kasturika is getting.....there seem to be something more than the above suggestion

Hi,

Can you do and check following:

1. Is this SWCV is imported from PI/XI? or created in PI7.1 from scratch?

2. Check SWCV for consitance check using "check" operation from menu.

3. See SAP Note Number: 1300272 if it is relevant to you.

4. It this problem persist with all SWCV or any particular SWCV (also check with local SWCV and SWCV which is imported from SLD)
