production orders in project builder

is there any possibility for maintaining & sheduling production orders through project builder (tr. cj20n) ?

Hi,

1) The Production orders can be created from CJ20n for the material for which the In hous eproduction is to be carried out.

2) Here when we attach the material to an activity in the project. This activity will have a start and the finish date.

3) There is an option in the general data tab of the material in CJ20n where in one can select the requirement date as aligned with the start date or finish date (this comes from the Scheduling in the Project) or maintain manually.

4) This will be the date on which this material is required for this project.

Now lets get back to the PP order.

When we mention the Requirement has come from Project with a certain specific requirement date. Then the same date will be reflected in the PP order.

Now on can do the back ward scheduling in the PP to get the start date for the Production so that this Production order gets delivered to the Project on the requirement date.

So in simple we can not carry out the scheduling of the Production order from Project, but Project does provide the finish date for the production order.
