how to move the transport domain from one system to another system

Hello All,

We have to move the transport domain controller from one system to other SAP system in same domain.

Is it possible?If yes how can we do it

Please tell me step by step

just wanted to know whether this will delete the transport routes in the system or not

No this will not delete the transport routes....We did this few weeks back only and we moved it very easily

Hi, yes this can be done... no need to delete the routes.

1.Configure the SAP System you want to use as the new domain controller as the backup domain controller.

2. Activate the previous domain controller as the backup domain controller.

but note that - You cannot change the name of the transport domain afterwards without reconfiguring the domain controller and thereby the entire transport domain.

Just one question more,can I now remove the backup domain controller because we dont need that in our domain setup

yes you can do it but make sure that you have distrubuted the configuration and that your SAP domain recognize the new domain controller,

anyways it is always better to have backup domain controller configured

and make sure you do everything in 000 client otherwise you would not be able to do it
