stderr1 file growing in the system

I have this file growing vigosously in my prod system. It is occupied almost 12 GB as of now. Please let meknow the procedure to reset the file. I cannot reboot my machine to reset the file. Is there way we can delete the contents....

We have rename the file. restsrted the instance and back to normal.

I assumed that you are talking about stderr1 file under work directory. If that is the case please find the link below

Once you rename you can delete if you have shortage of space..
