Hello,
Multiple capacity categories can be created in a work center like
Engineer
Sr. Engineer
Architect
Rates for all of them will be different (obviously) , however we can only have 1 activity type as default in a work center . We intend to 'HR assignment' corresponding to each capacity category . how can we have multiple activity type for different capacities (Engineer , architect etc).

At the project master data (network activity) you have selected Activity Type as well as The Person Assignment from the work force planning (planning board) is there. In CAT2 transaction this person will be defaulted to the Activity Type you have selected for the network activity or network activity element. There is no direct link between position and AType, but indirect relation via network activity master data.

You do not need to default activity type in the Costing tab of Work Center. You can have Capacity category 002 Person and have various persons (or positions) assigned. For the network activity you can select any Activity Type that was planned with respective Cost Center.
