When I am creating IBD using WM functionality the overall status tab shows " not for putaway "
. What can be the reason bcoz after IBD I created GR, TR, TO etc.

Go to SPRO-IMG-Logistics Execution-Shipping-Deliveries-Define Item Categories for Deliveries
select your Delivery item category, double click. Check Relevent for putaway (if not checked already).

Open your IBD in change mode and put the Pick quantity in the stock placement tab. once you enter the pick qnty and hit Enter keythe status will be changed.
