Installation of ECC on windows 2008 in cluster enviroment

Dear All,

I am having difficulties in installation of ECC Production server on windows 2008 in cluster environment,

i have idea of configuring cluster in 2003 , but in 2008 i have no idea, i am very much lost not sure from where to start.

please adive and provide step by step procedure , that would be helpful .

What "difficulties" - can you specify?

Step-by-step of what?

I would get a basis consultant on-site to help you setting it up. I would not use any "follow-anyones-screenshot-documentation" to set up a production cluster environment.

Hi,

I created cluster ECC-Clust. and added two nodes PRD1 and PRD 2.

- quorum is also configured,

but i could not move the resources from nod1 to node 2..

secondly , i am not sure from where i have to create the groups,

for installation it is required to create the following groups

Cluster group(default)

MSDTC

DBGroup

SAPGRP

but i am not usre from where i have to create the groups

In the domain? Cluster nodes must be in the domain.

Hi irfan

You don't have to create MSDTC group in windows 2008 cluster as it is already provided by windows 2008 services.

But you have to create DBGROUP and SAPGROUP services in failover cluster management.

Make sure to "create services and applications" for DBGROUP and SAPGROUP before installation.

Also don't forget the read SAP inst guide where each and everything is discussed in details.
