Net indicator and CO11N

Hello,

if i set the Net Indicator in a BoM material in our example a Phantom for packaging and now i do a confirmation

via the CO11N only a scrap quantity then i see also in the good movements the consumption for the packaging.

But normal i want that the system excluded this automatically, because i only confirm scrap but i don't use eg. the paletes

from the BoM for this scrap.

Can anybody help me?

Hi,

Net indicator (STPO-NETAU) is to exlude the component from asembly scrap calculation:

In certain situations, you do not want the system to calculate assembly scrap for a component in the assembly. You can exclude assembly scrap for this component in the BOM.
In the BOM, you can replace the assembly scrap in the material with operation scrap.

So, component scrap and operation scrap will be calculated for the packaging material - based on your master data settings.

You can read in F1 help for the mentioned field how SAP handles this indicator:

Indicator: Net scrap
    This indicator determines whether scrap for the component is calculated
    on the basis of the net required quantity (the required quantity without
    assembly scrap from the material master record).
Procedure
    o   You must set this indicator if you want assembly scrap to be
        ignored.
    o   You must set this indicator if you enter operation scrap.
    o   You can set this indicator if you only enter component scrap, to
        calculate scrap on the basis of the net required quantity for the
        assembly.
Examples
 Bill of material:
 o   Assembly MAT-1:
     -   Required quantity 100 pieces
     -   Assembly scrap 2%
 o   Component MAT-2:
     -   Component quantity 100 pieces
 Depending on the applicable scrap and the net indicator, the follow
 quantities are required for component MAT-2 for a required quantity
 100 pieces of MAT-1:

thanks for the answer.

but is there a standard process if i confirm scrap via CO11N that i can automaticllay exclude some materials from the BoM?
