Hello,

when I call a soap request and there is a mapping failiure or some invalid data entered by the user, the user gets a response back as "server error".

Can this "server error" be changed to something else and I can tell him "incorrect mapping/insufficient data" somehting like this?

I aint aware of anything like this can be done but wud b interested in knowing.

thanks,

Vishal

I have a similar question. Is there a way to change or get the complete message back to the user sending in request to the web service. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Hi Vishal,

Where do you think this error is coming from?

What is your scenario at a high level?

SOAP to ??

or is it

??? to SOAP?

Ravi

Ravi,

it is when a legacy invokes my webservice..

so soap to...????

When there is an invoke and mapping failure/data items missing...

Server error is sent back to legacy system...

thanks,

Vishal
