Data Manager Crash - Export To Access/Excel/Text

Hi there

We have some users here that are working with Data Manager and when they try to export from data manager to Access, Excel or Text the Client Application will crashs. The only error message we get is from Windows.

Does anyone know if there are some client setting that we need to be aware of to allow the export from Data Manager?

Similiary, the client will crash when we try to open the "Configuration-->Options"

We are on MDM 5.5.64.102

Hi ccr,

the following procedure should solve both the problems you are speaking:

1. Uninstall Data Manager

2. Delete Data Manager folder from Program Files

3. Delete Data Manager from the registry (regedit from windows cmd line):

- Delete the whole Client folder:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> SAP -> MDM 5.5 -> Client

- Delete the whole Client folder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> SAP -> MDM 5.5 -> Client

4. Install data manager again.

Hi

Must be a problem with the registry files. First time you install MDM clients it needs to register with windows and office tools like excel.

reinstall the client and this may solve the problem.
