New vendor group root node

Hello Experts,

How can I make a new vendor group root node in SRM, so that it's accepted by the organizational structure?

Hello again,

There was no need for a back-up.

We were in the proces of a r/3 systemcopy, I followed the configurationsteps for SRM, made a new Vendor root node, runned bbpgetvd and bbp_vendor_sync with the new root ID and it worked.

Thank you for your reaction.

The case is that the vendor root node and vendor groups are deleted by accident in a fully configured and working enviroment (Q).

What I meant by my question is, is it possible to create a new vendor root node in an existing organizational unit?

Sorry I wasn't clear in my first question.

Hi

Ask basis team to restore your data for that particular date incident happen.

if they have back up , you can do retrieve them. It is little heavy task.
