Hi all
<u>System</u>
SRM 5.0 - Classic Scenario
R/3 4.6c
<u>Example:</u>
Requestor has product category A, C and D.
He/she tries to order an item belonging to product category B.
<b>Question 1:</b>
Is there a check that does not allow the requestor to order this item?
<b>Question 2:</b>
If answer to 1 is a yes, is there any standard code to auto-remove this item from the shopping cart?
Hi Nicholas,
Both scenario are possible :
1- Prevent requester to order on a product category not included in his extended attributes.
2- Authorize requester to order on any product category
This is standard behaviour. However depending your release and SP level , option 1 or 2 is activated (you can look at OSS to find the note that explain how to restrict PRCAT coming from catalogue and not included in users's extended attribute)
Kind regards,
Yann

Hi Yann
Thanks for the response.
Another 2 quick questions...
Would you know what is behaviour is option 1 is chosen?
i.e. is it an error when you are trying to order the SHC, or when you try to add the item to your SHC?
Would you be able to tell me whether there is any standard BAdI that can remove the item from the shopping cart if we choose option 1?
Thanks a bunch
Nick
