EWA for non-abap systems using solution manager EHP1 (SP19)

Hi all,

We have recently updated our solution manager from SP Stack 15 to EHP1 (sp 19). we are now planning to set up EWA for non-abap components (specifically EP 7.0). however, the only SAP note that i have been able to find is "976054 - Availability of EWA for Non ABAP components" but this is only limited up to SP 17. I have not been able to find any guides relating to EWA thru Solution Manager EHP1.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can refer any documents or SAP notes that would enable setting up EWA for non-abap components thru Solution Manager EHP1.

Kind regards,

Amer

Hi Amer,

I found that you have update the solution manager form 15 to 19,

I also have to do the same thing,

could you please let me know in which order i will have to apply to support packs in SPAM, JSPM

also shall i do it 1st from 15 to 17 and then 17 to 19 , or it can upgrade from 15 -19 in a single step.

waiting for your reply

Thanks in Advance

First From 15-17 , then 17 -> 19/20 (for both, the ABAP and the Java)

Read the Solman EhP1 notes and guides more clarification

Hi Prakhar,

Thanx for your reply. In response, I would like to clarify the following:

1. Our solution manager stack is EHP1 SP03.

2. As written in my original post, note 976054 refers to the limitations for release EHP1 but it DOES NOT describe or give any details otherwise. I checked note 1332428 that is mentioned for EHP1 in this note but at this stage, it is not very helpful.

3. Prior to updating to EHP1, EWA was configured for the ABAP stack of solution manager and was generating the reports perfectly. After update to EHP1, it is still generating the reports. Following the E2E Root Cause Analysis System Landscape Setup Guide for Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1, do we have to start from scratch and set up the entire landscape again if we need to set up EWA for java components?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanx & regards,

Amer

Hi,

You can go ahead and configure for Java system as ABAP is already working and for java system u need to create the logical systems separately as shown in my links above.

in addition run RTTCTOOL from se38 so that if anything is missing you will come to know

Hope it helps

Amer,

For Early watch Alerts for JAVA,You need to have diagnostics (E2E RCA setup) in place.

Thanks,
