DMS - list view of search data (cv04n)

Using cv04n i give a search criteria and execute to see a list of documents. In this list the document description is also shown. If my document discription is more than 40 chars i.e. it has overflown into long text, how do i see the complete description in the list view.

hi, CV04N list the DIR according to selcted Attribute.

if u want to see inside of DIR u need open and check . in your case u used long text description. ie LTXIN field, lenght is 1. u make this field as mandit then u will see this field also in CV04n, contact Abaper.

Now default DKTXT is used in standard program. the lenght is 40 characters.

hi,

before opening DIR to view i want to know whether the document i opening is correct or not. The document details are put in description field. The details are more than 40 char long. This is the reason why i want long description in list view.

U need to go for development, this is just ALV settings u need to select filter options. Abaper will solve ur query.

but SAP does not recomand original program to be disturbed. check with abaper.

here u hvet to add long text field name what i explained erlier.
