SUSE enterprice linux test drive...

dear all,

i follow this posting /people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2008/03/31/sap-netweaver-70--java-and-abap-trial-version-on-linux--vmware-edition--tips-tricks to get linux running on VMWARE on my machine...

however after getting to section 3.2 i cannot perform db2start or startsap n4shost... i get the following error when execute command db2start

SQL6048N A communication error occurred during START or STOP DATABASE MANAGER processing.

SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued. SQLSTATE=57019

and when i execute startsap n4shost i get the following errors

Activate database failed

R3trans connect failed

DB startup failed

Any idea?

hi,

Did you apply db2 licence files for you db. your db2 licences might have expired or reset. Try to apply the db2 licences. Once the licenses are applied successfully try again.

finally got it solved... i notice if i am plugged into a network the DB refuse to start up... when i unplugged it works. so thats my solution.
