Sun cluster cannot startup - errros in /var/adm/message file

Hi All,

We are implementing ECC finance system. I am in the process of setting up production system with the sun cluster. The cluster type is active+active. We have two servers for this setup. I have installed ASCS on one server and CI on Node A (we have file systems /usr/sap/trans, /sapmnt/<sid>, /usr/sap/<SID>, and Database (all oracle related file systems) on Node B. We can start sap without any errors without cluster. But when we try to start the SAP with Cluster, we are getting below errors. If anyone experienced with the same please let me know.

Cluster try to start SAP is still unsuccessful , there are some errors in /var/adm/messager when starting SAP.

/usr/sap/EPC/SYS/exe/run/cleanipc 71 remove' returned with non-zero exit status 255, HA-SAP will continue to start SAP.---(This is a new message)

Does that executable exist (cleanipc)?

Can you execute that command as user <sid>adm manually (cleanipc 71 remove)?

Hi Markus,

Thanks for your inputs. The SUN vendors are performing the cluster configuration and unable to find any resolution for the below messages. The cleanipc error has been cleared from the message file. Now we struck with only this error.

"Jul 29 11:03:05 mpasun27 SC[SUNW.sap.ci_v2, MPASUN27_CI_RG, MPASUN27_CI_RS,sap_ci_svc_start]: [ID 183934 daemon.notice] waiting for SAP central instance main dispatcher to come up".
