Hi,

OS=HP-UX

DB=Oracle

We are installing EHP4.

I have read the inst guide.

There mentioned that delete files in DIR_TRANS & profile directory.Is this mandatory.

While executing sapcontrol -prot NI_HTTP -nr 01 -function Stop

it is giving NI_HTTP unauthenticated 401 error.

pls clarify.

Could you please once refer this SAP Note 1250195 - No UDS available when configuring service/hostname which will help for you to fix the issue.

Hi ,

Before you delete anything , please double check.

Here is what I have done for my installation, I removed all the old files from /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in and all old profiles which are renamed with different names ( not the main profiles).

Then I started my installation.

Hi,

In the guide it is mentioned that delete old profiles or move it to some other directory. But I don't see anything related to DIR_TRANS.
