Cj20n Making Bsc Start & End dates of a WBS Element Field Mandatory

HI Gurus,

I am a stuck at a point and i need you guys help.Actually scenario is as follows.

We are creating a project and then we release it but here once we release the project we want to make the fields Basic start Date and Basic Finish Date for a WBS Element mandatory and it should not allow us to save the change to the status.As of now standard SAP functionality would not stop us from changing the status as it is not a mandatory field.Could you suggest me the way i can do that.I want to make entering of dates mandatory only for release status and not any other.

Hi,

GO to OPUJ

Start date field: PROJ-PLFAZ ... make it as Required by clicking the radio button

Finish Date field PROJ-PLSEZ ... do the same as above

Make the Necessary fields mandatory for Project definition and WBS element by setting the radio button for the Desired Fields.

You can use vaidation with user exit. This seems the only way.

This can be achieved via a BADI for CJ20N txn. Sit with your ABAP Consultant and explore the possibilities....
