Hi Niranjan,

one is under folder DVEBMGS00 -> exe

This is for your DI. As well during STARTUP of instance program SAPCPE copies executable from global host this folder.

second one is under folder SYS -> exe (kernel)

See the value of profile parameter DIR_CT_RUN in instance profile. This parameter indicates the kernel executables on central host (Global Kernel Directory)

Hi Niranjan,

The exe under DV* is the instance specific exe directory. one under SYS contains the exe for the system.

Most of the exes will be similar because, at the start of SAP, sapcpe runs and it copies the newest kernel available under SYS/exe to the instance specific exe directory.

e.g. if you'd have another dialog instance, it also would have an exe directory under D<nr> directory.
